The idea is to have a clear goal in mind with an uncertain outcome, a bit of anxiety to negate any boredom, and a dose of fear. This makes us focus, and focus brings a state of flow.
Big changes happen in tiny increments. The key is to strategically design small wins in our daily lives and feel great about these tiny improvements.
The science behind tiny habits is based on emotions. Repetition does not form habits, big changes, or successes. Emotions do.
Trigger, Action, Celebration.
Take a big challenge you want to accomplish and break it down into small, achievable goals. Then find a trigger moment to act on those small goals. After every accomplishment of those small goals, celebrate.
Work from Your “Vulnerable Spots”
It’s one of the most courageous things to do. It comes with uncertainties but brings extraordinary growth.
Your vulnerable spots are those situations, places, relationships, and activities that make you feel fearful, discomfort, challenged or unsettled.
It is important to note that vulnerability without boundaries is not vulnerability. We don’t show our vulnerability just to express it. We do it with the honest intention to grow with an overarching desire to progress in the presence of the people we care for and trust.
Recently, I experienced exponential growth in my emotional well-being after I decided to openly share some of my past traumas with some close friends. I wasn’t sure what the outcome would be like, so I knew this was my vulnerable spot.
The amount of love and concern has been outstanding. Working from my vulnerable spot has allowed me to grow through my traumas and strengthen my ties with these close friends by improving the quality of connection through trust, belonging, and genuine concern towards one another.
With the growth and development in too many fields, a lot of us get confused about which option to choose for better growth and success. Sometimes, we start following other people’s goals while listening to their achievements.
But remember, you don’t have to decide your goals based on someone else achievement and success. You need to be clear about yourself and know your inner self. This can be done through peaceful meditation in the morning. Not only this will help you in knowing yourself better, but it will also make you focused and dedicated. You will not get distracted by anything that comes in you and will be constantly focusing on your objectives.
